I started workin on a little collaboration with my friend Paul Gardner on a short story he wrote. Back when we worked at Namco, we'd always have to hit the parking garage late at night to get our cars and go home. In Paul's short, a woman leaves a tech company and goes home to the same parking garage every night...Hidden in that garage is a creature (the one i drew here) that can mimic sounds, and especially the sound of a car alarms unlocking...he ends up tricking the woman in this story because every time she clicks her car clicker she follows the sound of where she thinks the car is, being on auto pilot, she doesn't think too much until its too late,..and you can see she gets gobbled up. The creature can mimic the sound with the chambers on its chest, like a frog, they inflate and different noises can come through different chambers...and like a frog he can throw down a long tongue to pull in his prey...I didn't draw it, but he can open that mouth wide like a snake, dislocating the jaw, so eating a full woman isn't such a problem...
